Sage is largely known not just as a culinary herb but also as a delicious herbal tea. It has a savoury, slightly peppery flavour.

Sage traditionally has been used as a soothing, cooling digestive aid,  has been used also as a mouthwash for throat infection, dental abscesses, infected gum and mouth ulcers.

As a culinary herb sage is popular in stuffings, for flavouring meat and fish dishes.
