Sage is largely known not just as a culinary herb but also as a delicious herbal tea. It has a savoury, slightly peppery flavour.
Sage traditionally has been used as a soothing, cooling digestive aid, has been used also as a mouthwash for throat infection, dental abscesses, infected gum and mouth ulcers.
As a culinary herb sage is popular in stuffings, for flavouring meat and fish dishes.

PREPARATION:
Put 1-2 teaspoons into a cup and fill with boiling water. Let the tea brew for 5 minutes. Strain the leaves and enjoy. Add honey and/or lemon, if desired.
